21 EYE CATCHING LIGHTING FIXTURES

I AM AN AVID BELIEVER THAT LIGHTING HAS A MASSIVE IMPACT ON THE ATMOSPHERE OF A ROOM.

Take it from a teacher. Anytime I have the overhead lights on in my room I swear it is worse than being in a zoo taken over by animals on crack. Every single person in the school knows that the overhead lights are in no way, shape, or form are ever to be turned on in my classroom. They are obnoxious, give massive headaches, and make the children act insane. I much rather prefer having my window open, lamp, and string lights on. The warm orange tone the lights give off provides a sense of calm and focus, giving a much more relaxing feel.

Now, I know the lights in a typical home are nothing like the harsh florescent lights that I am referring to above. But still, they can be harsh and give off a weird vibe/feel that can sometimes make the tone of the room feel uneasy.

IF THE LIGHTING SETS THE TONE OF THE ROOM, YOU BETTER MAKE IT A STATEMENT.

Below each category is a list of my favorite lighting fixtures captioned with the reasonings. Click the pictures to purchase. <3

starting off strong with the beloved chandelier

the chandelier is classified as basically any form of lighting fixture that hangs from the ceiling and is popular for many reasons. The main one being it’s sick as f*ck.

PSA: I spent a sickeningly disgusting amount of hours deep diving for the perfect chandeliers for this section. My goal was to find affordable, unique, and easily available options for you. A few stores that really took me by surprise were Home Depot, Wayfair, and Amazon. If none of the options below fancy your fanny, those three stores would be my first stop if I were you!

$ 345

I can’t get enough of the modern vintage vibe this chandelier gives off. It comes in an array of colors as well as a silver base if that’s more you’re vibe.

$165

This cute little green number is a 4.2 star reviewed Amazon find. I know, pick your jaw up off the floor. Perfect for a college apartment, IMO!

$679

It’s hard to see in this picture, but this chandelier is covered in beaded black strings. I think it is so elegant, unique and chick. Emo Gatsy vibes if you will.

$549

Chef’s kiss. Elegant, unique, and simple. I’d purchase this if I wanted a lighting fixture that wasn’t going to take away from another statement piece in the room.

$2,548

Yes, I know this one is on the more expensive side but it truly takes your breathe away. This is a piece you would keep and cherish forever, so basically word the $2,548. ;)) Anyone and everyone who enters your room is guaranteed to pay it a compliment.

THE TABLE LAMP

AKA.. A SMALLL LAMP THAT SIMPLY SITS ON TOP OF A TABLE.

Now.. just because table lamps are small doesn’t mean they can’t also pack a punch. I would either go with an extravagant shade and a simple base or vice versa. Just be careful if you’re buying the lamp shade separately. Make sure to check dimensions on both the shade and the base before purchasing!

$68.99

I don’t feel like I have to explain myself on this one. The colors, the pattern, the gold base.. so sick. I can’t believe this wasn’t apart of Saltburns set.

$59.99

Gold animal bases are currently going off at the moment. I think it’s a great way to add a unique vibe to a room in a subtle manner, especially if you got a base to match your pet.

$39.99

Who doesn’t admire a funky shaped base? Psychopaths, that’s who. I would have died to have this in my college apartment with my besties.

$139

For the cowboy imposters! And also for the couple that’s moving in together. I think it has both feminine and masculine touches that combine perfectly.

$260

You guessed it, the bubble gum is the lamp! If I worked in an office this would 100% be going on one of my shelves.

$119.99

This one reminds me of the first chandelier that’s linked at the top simply upside down and designed for a bedside table. Again, a chic modern vintage vibe.

THE FLOOR LAMP

Floor lamps are my favorite lighting fixture to go all out with. These are the lamps that basically everyone has hidden in the corner of their living room or bedroom. Instead of hiding it, why not make it the center piece!

$149

Perfect option if you’re on the hunt for a lamp and a side table to go next to your bed or couch. I think this would look so cute with a stack of chic books or magazines on top.

$329

I cried actual tears of joy when I walked into my living room and saw this beauty standing in the corner of my living room. The crystals shine perfectly in the sunlight or when the lamp is turned on making everyones eyes wander over to it. The best part is, they have matching table lamps!

$625

The most expensive bundle of grapes you’ll ever purchase. But like I said above, this is a statement piece that you will obsess over for your entire life as well as anyone whole enters your home.

$271

Love the unique shape of this one and it comes in a variety of colors. If you’re trying to go with the hippie/vintage vibe, this one would be perfect for you.

$200

This lamp is chic and modern with a unique twist due to its shade shape! Perfect for the person who is trying to be minimal but doesn’t want the typical cookie cutter decor.

the sconce

The wall mounted lighting fixture you typically see in hotels and boujee bedrooms.

Before we dive in, let’s have a quick chat about the sconce. I think the most popular way to style this lighting fixture is in pairs hung above both sides of your bed. I think you could also hang them in pairs on both sides of your bathroom mirror, one above the toilet in your bathroom (weird but beneficial), or you could put them above the side tables next to your couch. In all reality, the hanging options are endless. I just think these are the most popular and beneficial places to put them. Most of the sconces I came across during my search could be purchased separately or in pairs, slay!

Another topic to discuss about the sconce is the pesky plug in chord. You have two options: purchase a cord cover or a cordless (battery operated) sconce.

$199 as a pair

Love the mid century modern vibe this pair gives off.

$80 single

If you’re looking for a pop of color this link has great options. This style comes in purple, pink, green and white.

$135 single

I love emerald green and gold together. I love how it adds a pop of color to your home in a simple chic way.

$136 single

This one comes in gold, black, and white. This one gives off the ballerina-esque vibe.

$148 single

A chandelier sconce!! This is one that I could see mixed in with a gallery wall, above your loo, or simply just in the corner of your house.

XOXO – Kaitlyn
