An “airport outfit” refers to a certain style of clothing 21st century women are now sporting at the airport.
Chic, comfortable, and muted clothing usually accompanied by a luxury bag and headphones. The luxury part is certainly not required, that’s just what comes to mind when the term “airport outfit” gets brought up.
Comfortably Chic Vs. Chic and Comfortable
There are two subtly different ways to go about your airport outfit. Emphasis on the comfortable and emphasis on the chic.
Chic & Comfortable
Celebs in the 90s put chic first rocking jeans, dress pants, and button ups. Bonus points for throwing in a luxury duffle and a black heeled boot.
Personally I an not against a heel on the plane, but I know I would end up regretting it. A heeled loafer is a great alternative (much easier to slip off).
Comfortably Chic
Todays celebs tend to put comfort first, but with a chic twist!
I LOVE a matching sweat set with a trench coat over. Comfy and chic, plus it’s always a good idea to layer at the airport. You never know whether you’re going to get 100 degrees or 50 on the plane.
Truly any athleisure outfit will do, if you’re ever short on inspo Bella Hadid oozes chic athleisure.
Airport Accessories
We all know the major hits are as follows: A huge tote bag, headphones, and gold hoops.
Some honorable mentions are chunky rings, claw clips, and scrunchies. Of course the luggage itself is an accessory. A leather duffle bag is a great option as a carry on, or a personal item. The more you use a leather bag the better it looks!
