NOTHING SAYS SPRING MORE THAN AN APEROL SPRITZ! SO, BEFORE WE DIVE INTO 2024 SPRING ACCESSORIES, FOLLOW THE RECIPE BELOW TO MAKE A COCKTAIL TO ENJOY WHILE YOU READ
what you will need:
1. 3 parts dry prosecco
2. handful of ice
3. 2 parts aperol spritz
4. 1 part soda water (my favorite is orange waterloo but you could use whichever flavor or brand you prefer)
5. orange slices
Note.. when a drink recipe says ‘part’ that just means each liquid part needs to of equal measure aka the same amount. For a single drink.. I use an ounce aka a shot glass. When making a bulk batch, I would use a cup.
directions
Aperol spritz is my favorite drink to make for a crowd during the spring or summer time because they are so easy to make. You simply just pour all of the ingredients together. There is no muddling or mixing required!
My personal favorite glass to use is a big wine glass. It gives off an elegant and classy feel PLUS this is more of a sipping cocktail.
If you want more flavor, gently squeeze the orange slice into your spritz. If you want more aperaol flavor, cut a slit down the middle of your orange slice and slip it on the side of the glass for a cutie little garnish.
ok, back to the program!
Wearing vs styling reels/tik toks have taken off on social media recently. Wearing an outfit is simply putting on the necessities that you need to be able to go out into society: shirt, pants, shoes.
In all of those videos, what makes an outfit a styled outfit is the addition of fun accessories such as hats, hair clips, jewelry, belts, & purses as well as layering your clothing articles like putting a skirt over top of jeans or wearing multiple shirts of varying lengths. If you would like to see a post or reel over how to layer clothes, shoot us a DM on IG! (@whatsfresh.blog)

Purses
Anthropologie – $128
This shape and texture we saw a lot of last year & I don’t think it is gong to go anywhere. The pastel yellow was clearly inspired by baby ducks which obviously is as Spring as Spring can get.
UO – $39
The colors in this plaid mini shoulder back is fantastic. You could match this pattern and color variety with so many outfits!
Free People – $98
Been seeing more and more of these oversized slouchy numbers. For $98, I personally feel like this is a steal. If hot pink isn’t your vibe, they have a variety of other bold colors on their site!
UO – $59
The texture, the color, the price.. does it get better than this???
JW PEI – $69
Fendi baguette bags are going off right now. I feel like this bag replicates the shape perfectly (at a much more affordable price point) and the pastel green color is perfect for Spring!
If you have no idea what I am referring to when I say Fendi baguette bag, head to my last post to get the 101 on FBB’s by clicking here.
Anthropologie – $44
I know, the daisy pattern is VERY Spring but I think this purse will continue to thrive throughout the Spring/Summer seasons for years on end. For only $44, I felt this very very themed clutch is worth every penny.
Jewelry
Anthropologie – $44
I am obsessed with the look of these crystal huggies. They come in a variety of colors but my favorite would be the lilac/peach ones that were featured on our Instagram.
Anthropologie – $54
Half of me didn’t want to recommend these to the world because they are too good for an Easter outfit but gate keeping is against Freshtie code.
Free People – $38
Red gingham always reminds me of picnics which tend to happen in the Spring! Last year, rose chokers were a hit and I think we will be seeing more of them this Spring/Summer but in bold textures & patterns like the one you’re seeing above. ;))
ZARA – $45
Necklace layering has gotten more and more intense over the years. Starting off with 3 dainty chains of varying lengths to putting on literally any and every necklace that you own. If you don’t know what I am talking about, go watch one of Rocky Barnes get ready with me’s. Anyways, I think this year will be the year for pearls.
Blake Lively’s Super Bowl fit sold me on chunky layered bangles. Amazon has an amazing selection of multipacks but the two below are my favorite. They’re giving Meg from Hercules in all the right ways. Who doesn’t want to look like a greek femme fatale?
Amazon – $16
Amazon – $9
Hair
Anthropologie – $18
Oversized silk hair bow, need I say more??
Target – $5
Florals & Spring are basically synonymous
I found rose claw clips like this all over Free People and Anthropologie.
I just bought this one from Target for a 1/3 of the price of FP and Anthro’s and I am OBSESSED with it.
Anthropologie -$12
Another hair accessory I recently purchased in baby blue that I am obsessed with & I will be buying more.
Amazon – $9
These petal plated ponytails are an easy and affordable way to elevate a boring outfit.
Free People – $16
I saw a metric *ss ton of mesh in the form of bows, scarves, pony tails, and claw clips on my search for hair accessories. This oversized bow was my favorite. Dainty+Chic=Spring.
Amazon – $8
A wonderful blast from the past. This accessory I actually stolen from my 8 year old students. All of my little girls are obsessed with them and now I am too. Not only do they look cute but they VOLUMIZE the heck out of your hair in an effortless and wispy way.
Another fabric I saw a lot of on my search was lace in the form of scarves, bandanas, and headbands. You could easily find a lace scarf, curtain, or table cloth at a thrift store for a couple of bucks & turn it into all three of those accessories.
Belts
I didn’t realize how expensive belts were until I made this post because every belt I own is either from the sales section of target/Urban Outfitters or from a thrift store.
I linked 3 of my favorite belts that I found below but if I were you, I would definitely look at thrift stores before purchasing a Spring colored $50+ belt you most likely won’t wear in the Winter/Fall.
Anthropologie – $58
Free People – $38
ZARA – $36
