THE Gilmore Girls Guide To Fall Fashion

I smell … the iconic Gilmore Girl’s Fall staples.

I am talking about THE Gilmore girl, Ms. Loreli. There are various things the style icon can do exceptionally well: eat an ungodly amount of food, maintain an amazing figure, dish out insane one liners, and throw some of the best fits of all kind… as in outfits. ; )

My favorite characteristic of Loreli is her fierce independence. Her desire to become independent started off strong when she decided to leave her parents at 16 and it became even stronger when she took off her Chilton uniform and started to make outfit choices of her own. Ms. Gilmore never really paid attention to what was trending and rather dressed for what she truly liked the look and feel of, making her wardrobe that much more unique.

Although the OG it girl has exceptional fashion taste year round, she has a variety of staples that makes her Fall wardrobe stand out the most.

Starting off strong with her collection of jackets!

I do not think Loreli owns a jacket in a regular fabric. We see her in leather, suede, wool, and corduroy most frequently. I believe her mid length baby pink wool to be her ‘go to’ jacket as that’s that one we see her in the most. When it comes to the color of her jackets, there is not one that scares her away although it appears her favorites are more vibrant colors!

Can’t have a fall jacket without all of the other accessories.

Come to think of it, I think the only accessories Loreli owns are hats, gloves, and scarves… the thinner the scarf and thicker the headband, the better! If you’ve seen the show before, you know that Loreli is a fiend for snow, the smell of it literally can wake her up, get her out of bed, and have her standing in the street in the middle of the night in only her pajamas just to catch the first snow fall of the year. This, my friend, is how I know that Loreli’s Fall/Winter gear is 85% for the looks and 15% for the actual benefits of what the accessories actually have to offer.

Boots, boots, boots!!

(you have to say it how Loreli says coffee, coffee, coffee to make the headline make sense)

The OG boot queen! Loreli owns two types of shoes: kitten heels for the warmer months and knee high boots for the colder. Her go to Fall boots come with a chunky heel, square toe, and neutral color!

Put It All Together
