We all know Carrie Bradshaw has one of the most iconic eclectic wardrobes known to man kind. Although she very rarely wore an item twice.. there were certain pieces that quickly became Carrie’s staples and made an appearance more than once before the series finale.
Below are 5 staple items that made Carrie’s wardrobe so eclectic & iconic.
FENDI BAGUETTE BAG

Coming up first, one of the shows most popular accessories, the purple sequin Fendi Baguette Bag. The first time this bag was sported by Ms. Bradshaw, she was unfortunately robbed of it at gunpoint along with her Manolo’s. Not to worry though – the iconic Baguette Bag made its return in Sex and the City’s sister show, And Just Like That.

The even better news is that you are not out of options if that’s not within your tax bracket. There are two things that I fear with owning a sequin bag. The first being that the fabric can be quite scratchy so if you’re wearing a shoulder sequin bag with a sleeveless top is can become uncomfortable rather quick. The second being sequin is incredibly frail, meaning they can fall off quite easily. Lucky for you, the two options below are both under $40 so if a shimmer pops off you won’t have to cry!
DIOR SADDLE BAG
Season 3 was the season of Aiden and Dior saddle bag’s. Carrie was seen with a handful of saddles in differing prints but the most iconic and memorable being her satin pink & gold chain saddle.
Although Dior no longer sell’s a saddle in this exact fabric, you can still purchase it through vintage seller sites!
If you’re in love with the saddle shape but not the price of designer you’re not out of luck. JW PEI and Amazon carry bags in the exact shape for a much more affordable price point.
THE NAKED DRESS
The beloved DKNY naked dress! This the first of the iconic staples that we get to see in the series. In episode 6 of season 1, Carrie gets photographed for an ad for her column that was put on the side of a New York bus. She luckily gets to keep it and this is her outfit of choice for her very first date with the infamous Mr. Big. Lucky for us, we get to continuously see this dress on the bus ad throughout the remainder of the series.
Out of all of the nude dresses on the internet this is the closest similarity I could find. Although the back is not as low as the OG naked dress, the straps are paper thin and body is just as flowy.
NAME PLATE NECKLACE
Although the famous Carrie necklace made its debut in season two of Sex and the City, Carrie never actually voiced her admiration for the necklace until the shows final season when she had lost it in the Dior store in Paris after she had taken a fall down the stairs. Once she became aware of the disappearance of the endeared necklace, Carrie was very clearly distraught, making the appeal for a necklace just like hers even more demanding. If she couldn’t live without her name plate necklace, then d*mn it, neither could we!
I can’t suggest anyone other than Grace Personalized on Etsy when looking for a name plate necklace. I purchased an initial necklace in March of 2024, have worn it every day, and it still hasn’t tarnished or started to show any wear. In my opinion this font is basically identical to that of Carrie’s!
FLOWER BROOCH
Carrie Bradshaw probably has the biggest floral brooch collection in the history of floral brooch collections. She’s seen wearing them throughout the entire Sex and the City series as well as in And Just Like That.. In true Carrie fashion – the bigger and more vibrant, the better!
Brooch: an object fastened to clothing with a hinged pin and catch.. think of it as if your shirt is a Christmas tree and the brooch is the ornament
