… If you’re just being proactive for when the day comes, that’s great too.
A million things are probably on your plate if you are in the midsts of planning a wedding. Do not worry, this post is all about the fun stuff. Sit back, relax, have a glass, and lets keep your wedding fresh.
I truly think that staying true to your taste is the most important part in planning a beautiful wedding day. That being said there are so many possibilities out there, sometimes you just don’t know what you want until you see it. That would be what I am here for!

Eventually I will go more in depths for all of these sections, this post is just to get your wheels turning!
Engagement Photos
Over this past year I have seen engagement photos become more and more editorial. They have a creative concept, think photography that tells a story.
With the emergence of conceptual engagement photos, I have seen couples utilize photographers that do not traditionally shoot for engagement photos. That being said don’t limit yourself when looking for yours!
Three locations to easily accomplish this look
Hotel
Beach
Downtown
Hotel
SPOILER me and Stan will be taking engagement photos at a hotel. I am absolutely obsessed with this idea.
The best part about taking them at a hotel is that there are so many different locations with in the hotel you can shoot. I have seen amazing photos from the: elevator, bed, bathroom, hallway, front door, couch. So many options to get creative.
Beach
If you’re a bird I’m a bird..
These beach photos come off so effortlessly romantic. Just think about how beautiful these would look printed and framed in your home. STUNNING!
Downtown
I love the way these look during the day and at night.
Even if you have to travel to make these work, it’s worth it. Make vacation out of it!
That being said I don’t think your city has to be that big to achieve the same look. Courthouses, crosswalks, hotels, bars, all make for good backdrops!
These photos are from blank photography, to die for…
Cakes
I am going to be brief with this section because I have already written a whole post about it.
Otherwise lets go over three of my favorites for this post!
Natural Elements
Raspberry
Vintage
Natural Elements
I love how unique each one of these cakes from YUNG KOMBUCHA BAKERY, turn out.
The way they use flowers and fruits to decorate their cakes, it’s almost like they grew in a forest.
Raspberries
So elegant and classy
Perfect for a spring or summer wedding. These are likely going to be the most popular wedding cakes of 2024.
Vintage
We’ve seen vintage frosting all over social media, it is only a matter of time before we see it more and more in weddings.
…. And I absolutely love it! The cake you see here is from Crybaby Cakes. Her piping is absolutely stunning, with a few tricks up here sleeves to make these vintage cakes feel fresh.
Wedding Dresses
You never really know what you want until you see it on, that’s what everyone says at least! I would NOT pick your wedding dress based on a trend, but it’s always good to know what “new” options are out there!
Basque Waist
Vintage
Strapless
Basque Waist
A basque waist dress has a tight fitted top that extends slightly over the hips. Typically coming to a triangle at the front.
With the re-emergence of low waisted bottoms, basque waists came back probably because they accentuate similar features. They look almost victorian to me which I LOVE.
Vintage
There are all kinds of vintage styles coming back. I have been seeing: tea length dresses, puff sleeves, gloves!
These Carrie Bradshaw-esque courthouse wedding looks have been sprouting up more and more. ICONIC
These would be beautiful for your bridal shower or reception as well.
Strapless
Strapless is everyyywhereee not just in bridal fashion.
Strapless pairs well with a basque waist as you can see.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Bridesmaid dresses are so fun, but can be one of the hardest decisions. There are always a lot of opinions (whether you want them or not) when it comes to the neckline, color, and cut of the dress.
Nearly all bridesmaids dresses for the past few years have been unique, in some way, for each girl. This year we may start to see a pivot to universal colors/cuts to pair with the “vintage” bridal styles coming back. That being said, there are still ways to make your bridesmaids look unique! For example: fabric, shoes, accessories, hair.
Strapless
Neutrals
Strapless
Much like wedding gowns, strapless silhouettes have worked their way into bridesmaids dresses as well.
So
sleek
and
elegant
Neutrals
I just have an inkling with this one. I just feel like neutrals are going to be popular wedding party colors in 2024.
Neutrals in action
I hope you enjoyed some of these 2024 wedding trend predictions. let me know in burning questions if you would like an in depth post for each of these sections.
If I didn’t inspire a part of your special day, you at least had fun reading!
