Queen B herself could have written the book on a achieving a chic fall look. If you hated her or you loved her, you still wanted to look like her. So enjoy this guide to having a Blair Waldorf Fall.
She ruled fall on the upper east side with the three Ps.
Pearls, Plaid, and Pea Coats
Blair’s no bullshit, cut throat attitude is wrapped up in a girly ruffled exterior. The juxtaposition works perfectly for her character who you love to hate, and hate to love.
Plaid
Blair is not afraid to mix and match her plaid. Matching plaid sets with a plaid over coat. Plaid dresses, with a plaid trench coat, and a plaid headband. You get it, a lot of plaid!
Most of us do not have Blair’s budget, so if you’re going to invest in some plaid you will get the most bang from your buck with a coat. You can pair a plaid pea coat or trench coat with so many fall outfits. These coats will also make for a great transition piece into winter.
Blair almost uses lace in a campy way. If she’s going for a lace looks she is taking it all the way.
The Accessories
We have already been over lace and pearls, but there are two things Blair is almost NEVER without. That’s a headband or beret, and some type of neck piece.
I truly think the chicest thing one can do it accessorize the neck. One of the easiest ways, especially in fall, is with a scarf. If you want to be more adventurous an ascot or a bow tie broach are très chic. Lastly Blair has been caught on more than one occasion sporting a plaid cape. A piece that can look dated if not styled correctly, pair it with a modern silhouette to keep it fresh!
