ok obviously this is not a life & death type of need… I personally just think that the best part of being a woman is getting all dressed up & owning a pair of shoes to match every outfit in my closet.
as a current shoe addict… If I could only keep 5 pairs of shoes in my closet, i would make sure to keep one of each of these styles .

Staple Sneaker
With the rapidly changing trends, the best way to go about a finding a staple sneaker is to put the color on the back burner and to focus more on the comfort and versatility factors instead.
By that, I mean a shoe that will be able to match basically anything you throw on from your closet. Not to fret, you can still stick with the trends with the style of sneaker you purchase.
Below are a couple of options that are comfy, versatile, and still fit in with what’s fresh;)
STAN SMITH’S
Although they are pretty bland… Stan’s are known for being timeless, comfortable, & affordable. The ones pictured are clearly plain white but they do also make them in I2 more colors if you want to spice it up a little bit. They are my fav shoes to throw on when I’m going for a street look type of vibe.
ASICS JAPAN S PF
The silver Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66’s have been all over my Pinterest feed for the past couple of months.
With the silver missing in these S PF’s, I figured the platform soles helps to elevate the shoe to help keep them interesting without the bold color.

Knee High Boot
There are a couple of different route’s you can take with knee high boots.
1. Bold or neutral color
2. Slouchy or fitted style
3. Heeled, platform, or regular flat bottoms
4. Round, square, pointed toe
I listed 3 different options that have a combination of the components listed above. Always keep the comfort factor in mind when purchasing KHB’s. I’ve said this a million times before and I am going to say it again… always read the reviews on a product before purchasing.
TIP
You will most likely be wearing tall socks with the boots so the zipper doesn’t rip your leg apart. Think about purchasing a 1/2 size up& make sure to try them on with the socks to make sure they fit correctly before actually wearing them out of your house.

DRESSED UP SANDAL
One of the easiest ways to elevate your closet/style is with a simple dressed up sandal. My personal favorite look is black sandals with some form of gold embellishment. I think it’s such a chic & classy look that can easily take any outfit from a 5 to an 8.
Now, you don’t want to break the bank over a little sandal BUT you do want to make sure you’re purchasing a good quality product. A lot of sandals are dainty & elegant thus made with little or dainty fabrics. So, if it’s not made out of good quality fabric, then it’s most likely going to fall apart within a few wears. Below are my 2 go to stores that I love to purchase sandals from because of their quality and affordable price points.

Kitten Heel
Kitten heels are any shoe with a heel that is no bigger than 2 inches tall.
When you’re purchasing kitten heels, make sure they have a back or a back strap!
I, unfortunately, learned this the hard way with these plaid beauties… they are truly the biggest B*TCH to walk in. Like have to take thought out and meticulous steps or they will fall right off my foot which is just ridiculous. I basically only wear them when I know I am going to be doing little to no walking which really blows because they are SO cute.

I have seen roses all over shoes lately. I think this pair is so fun with the bold color and little feathers. Great way to add dimension & texture to an outfit.

Easiest way to catch someones eye is to spice it up with a bold pattern. I am obsessed with my floral mules pictures in the next section. With the various colors, they basically go with anything and everything.

MULES
Mules are classified as shoes with no back or constraint around the foot or heel.
My mules are the first shoe I pick up when I know I am going to be on my feet for the majority of the day but still want to look dressed up. I think the thick strap over the foot helps to add support and comfort so that is personally what I keep my eye out for when shopping for mules.
