BOWS are back and better. Who knew there were so many ways to style a Hair ribbon? Here you will find some of the more obvious ways, my personal favorites, and some I hope will surprise you. As always the photos you see in this post will be clickable links to the creator.
Here are some of my personal favorites if you’re looking to shop! These first few photos are of my all time favorite bow clips. They come in a pack with two white and two red and were literally 5 dollars from Five Below. Online they only have one pink one available, but there are so many more options in stores!
Personally I think clips are by far the easiest to actually put in your hair. So all of my favorites, like this one from Anthropologie, are clips. That being said later on in this post I have some photos of me where I had tie-ins that I made from old clothes, aka basically free hair accessories! (Pro tip never throw away your old t-shirt scraps, I just keep all of mine in a zip lock).
This set from amazon is great because you can get super extra with your looks. For example, at the bottom of this post you’ll see my friend Mesa went as Little Bow Peep for Halloween and did a cute a** hairstyle with mini bows like these ones. It worked perfectly for the costume, but I think you could do something similar day to day to elevate a simple going out look.
Simple Styles
There are so many options and styles I couldn’t possibly try them all myself. I browsed the internet for you and found some inspiration for whatever type of look you’re going for. Plus a few more of me to keep things interesting 😉
If you want to step it up a little bit but still not try very hard, braids are for you.

Hair Ribbons For your Clothes
My personal favorite being safety pinning them as nipples (see below) and tying them on your belt loops. Some examples below came manufactured with the ribbons but you could easily recreate at home.
ON SHOES/SOCKS
Also tying them to the sides of your boots can be super cute! If your shoes don’t have loops for you to tie your ribbon on, use a safety pin or hot glue if you’re really committed!
Miscellaneous Accessorizing
As a neck-tie is so killer
If you already have a head band, just glue some bows on to recreate this look!
Shout out to by bestie Mesa for this look (literally amazing)!
That was 30 different ways to style a hair ribbon. I hope at least one of them inspired you to get creative. Good luck Cuties!
Bonus! – Bow Earrings
I’ve seen a few girls rock these, so I picked out some of my favorites and linked them here for you!
